The Belgian Business Chamber is happy to pass on the invitation of CRIDO to join their next webinar that will take place on September 12th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. During the event, we will discuss the final Ministry of Finance (MF) proposal amending the property tax regulations.

On September 3, 2024, the final version of the bill amending the property tax was published. The initial draft sparked many emotions and concerns among entrepreneurs, as many of the proposed solutions could have significantly increased the tax burden on businesses.

During the public consultation process, around 200 entities submitted comments and suggestions for changes to the project. Entrepreneurs' organizations, individual entities, and local government representatives actively participated in this process. After intensive work, the Ministry of Finance has published a new version of the project, aiming to reconcile the Ministry's vision with business demands.

The new regulations will come into force in January 2025, so it's essential to stay updated on these provisions. Entrepreneurs will be required to submit their first declarations based on the new regulations in January 2025, leaving little time for practical implementation of these changes.
