The first load-outs for the Baltic Power offshore wind farm - Poland’s very first - have been successfully completed on behalf of Baltic Power, a joint venture between ORLEN NEPTUN and Northland Power Inc.
Smulders Projects Poland, a Belgian company specialising in offshore steel structures, produced and loaded each transition piece (TP) - weighing 350 tons and standing 27 metres tall - at its yard in Newcastle. These critical components ensure the stability and durability of offshore wind turbines, with installation in the Baltic Sea planned for this spring.
A great example of Belgian expertise supporting the green energy transition in Poland and across Europe.
