BBC On the Road to Poznań | BBC x PARTNERS | POZNAŃ
We're thrilled to share with you the exciting moments from this year's BBC on the Road to Poznań event, which took place on June 6th and 7th, 2024. Following the tremendous success of last year's event, this year's gathering left participants thoroughly pleased, both with the knowledge gained and the connections made.

Successful Polish-Belgian Business Meeting at the Poznań City Hall

On June 6th, the Belgian Business Chamber orchestrated a highly prosperous Polish-Belgian Business Meeting in collaboration with Invest in Poznań, held in Poznań. This gathering provided an invaluable platform for networking and delving into potential business prospects in the area, drawing a myriad of professionals and entrepreneurs keen on establishing connections and learning more about thriving Belgian businesses in Wielkopolska.

The first segment of the meeting unfolded at the Poznań City Hall from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. It commenced with a welcoming address from the Investor Relations Department of the Poznań City Hall, followed by an opening speech delivered by Mariusz Kowolik, Board Member of the Belgian Business Chamber. Attendees were privileged to engage in a presentation by Krzysztof Gałek, a representative from the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture. His presentation, titled "How to Make the City More Attractive and Beautiful?" delved into the principles of the "Landscape Resolution" within the Poznań context. Subsequently, Julia Stachowicz, the General Director of the Belgian Business Chamber, presented about the Chamber, spotlighting its mission and activities. A case study presentation ensued, delivered by Jakub Matyja, Project Developer at Revive Poland, and Agnieszka Jaworska, Marketing & Sales Manager at Revive Poland. They imparted insights into Revive and Cavallia Poznań, showcasing successful Belgian-origin companies and their investments in the region. Post-presentations, attendees relished refreshments while engaging in networking sessions, fostering new connections and stimulating discussions.

The second part of the event encompassed an exclusive visit to AND2, the tallest skyscraper in Poznań. This tour showcased a significant investment within the city and underscored the fruitful partnership between a public institution and a private investor. Even though the building was still under construction, attendees had the special chance to tour the premises. This included a visit to the top floor, where they were treated to a stunning panoramic view of the city.

We express our sincere gratitude to our sponsors, whose invaluable support made this event possible. A special acknowledgment goes to Democo Poland for their partnership as the event sponsor, and to our local partners BPI Real Estate Poland, Cavallia Poznań, Revive Poland, and VPK Packaging Polska for their collaboration. Furthermore, we extend our appreciation to the Mayor of Poznań for their patronage.

Attendees gathered at 3:30 PM for an exclusive showcase of stunning creations inspired by Gent's industrial heritage and the artists' unique perspectives. The diverse range of artworks captured the essence of the city's industrial legacy, offering attendees an unforgettable celebration of creativity and innovation.

Belgian Business Mixer: Fostering Connections and Celebrating Success

Yesterday, on June 6th, the Belgian Business Mixer took center stage at Koszary Kultury, marking another triumphant chapter in our networking endeavors. Mirroring the success of last year's event, participants were once again treated to an energetic networking session amidst the unique ambiance of Koszary Kultury.

Koszary Kultury stands as an emblem of temporary land development, conceived as part of the larger Cavallia Poznań project - a mixed-use metropolitan initiative led by Belgian-origin companies and BBC members, BPI Real Estate Poland, and Revive Poland. This laid-back and welcoming environment served as an ideal backdrop for fostering relationships and fostering deeper engagement with local businesses and stakeholders. The Mixer provided an ideal platform for professionals from diverse industries to converge, exchange ideas, and forge meaningful connections. Attendees relished the opportunity to mingle with like-minded individuals, swap business cards, and explore potential collaborations or partnerships. Delightful appetizers and Belgian beers courtesy of our partner Browar Fortuna complemented the evening, enhancing the networking experience and fueling stimulating conversations among attendees.  Adding an extra dose of excitement to the evening was an enthralling lottery. The grand prize, featuring Belgian beer from Belgium's Best and free entry to all Belgian Days events, was claimed by the fortunate winner, Edyta Antoniszyn-Gil.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our sponsors for their unwavering support. A special thank you to Democo Poland for their sponsorship as the event sponsor, and to our local partners BPI Real Estate Poland, Cavallia Poznań, Revive Poland, and VPK Packaging Polska for their collaborative efforts. Furthermore, we express our sincere gratitude to the Mayor of Poznań for their patronage. Your contributions were instrumental in making our event a resounding success!
