During the webinar, we will be discussing the challenges facing the electro-energy sector and the ways in which changes can be viewed systematically. We will also be discussing the perspective of foreign investors on electro-energy in Poland.
Context
The slow development of zero-carbon electricity sources in Poland not only exacerbates the problems of the energy sector, but also hinders transformation in other sectors. Without access to clean, competitively priced electricity, it will not be possible to decarbonize heating, transportation or industrial processes. Despite these interdependencies, the discussion about accelerating Poland's energy transition is taking place primarily at the level of individual sectors and piecemeal solutions.
Systemic change is in the interest of both domestic and foreign investors. Restrictions on access to clean energy are already beginning to be one of the barriers by which foreign investors choose not to develop investments in Poland, even despite the many other competitive advantages of our economy. Thus, the lack of discussion on electrification and too-slow decarbonization will translate into more and more missed opportunities for Poland's development.
The aim of the webinar is to present knowledge of energy transformation in Poland and contribute to building cross-sector consensus on specific reforms and investments that should be reflected in government plans.
