Exploring Opportunities and Embracing Heritage: BBC on the Road to Gdańsk

Last week in Gdańsk, on April 10th and 11th, we had the honor of hosting two exceptional events that brought together industry leaders, business professionals, and enthusiasts eager to explore new opportunities and embrace the rich maritime heritage of the region.

International Speed Business Mixer (April 10th):

The International Speed Business Mixer recently held in Gdańsk has left a lasting impression, stirring a dynamic energy and fostering insightful discussions among attendees. With a vibrant turnout, the event saw a significant representation from #BBCMembers, accounting for nearly 20% of the total guests, offering an excellent opportunity for expanding business networks and connections.

A pivotal moment of the gathering was the engaging panel discussion, expertly moderated by Krzysztof Kalata, titled "From Lurking Threat to Collaborative Partner: The Role of #AI in Today's Business World." This discussion, featuring Paulina Zasempa, People Country Lead at CEE SD Worx, provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of AI and its profound impact on businesses worldwide.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to SD Worx Poland for their invaluable partnership, contributing to the success of this exceptional evening!

The collaborative efforts of 13 bilateral chambers of commerce were instrumental in orchestrating this remarkable event, underscoring the significance of unity and cooperation in fostering a vibrant business community.

To all participants, your active engagement and meaningful contributions have undoubtedly enriched the event, creating a platform for fruitful connections and insightful discussions!

Belgian Business Walk (April 11th):

Our Belgian Business Walk in Gdańsk event unfolded as a captivating journey, seamlessly blending history with innovation. Commencing with a warm welcome and insightful presentations by Jadwiga Kosinska from Stocznia Cesarska Development and Krzysztof Kalata from the Belgian Business Chamber, attendees were immediately drawn into the day's immersive experience.

Subsequently, Julia Stachowicz from the Belgian Business Chamber shared invaluable insights into the organization's mission of fostering connections among Belgian and Belgium-linked companies across Poland. Emphasizing the significance of community building among #BBCmembers, her presentation set a thoughtful tone for the day's proceedings.

Continuing the enriching program, Dagmara Rozkwitalska from Stocznia Cesarska Development led participants on a captivating exploration of the shipyard's history and its promising future. Illuminating the #newstories poised to unfold in this iconic location, her narrative captivated the audience's imagination.

One of the event's highlights was the esteemed presence of Jaroslaw Żurawiński, President of the Maritime Historical Foundation, who graciously served as our guide. Under his expert leadership, attendees embarked on a guided walk around Stocznia Cesarska, delving deep into Gdańsk's rich maritime heritage and gaining insight into its pivotal role in the Solidarity movement.

Concluding the day's activities was a delightful networking session at #MielżyńskiGdańsk, providing participants with an opportunity to forge new connections over Belgian specialties in a lively atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this incredible event, and stay tuned for more opportunities to explore!
