Ghelamco Announces Multifunctional Sailing Centre Project in Gdynia

We are excited to share that our member company, Ghelamco Poland, in partnership with the Polish Yachting Association, will be constructing a multifunctional building with a sailing centre in Gdynia. Situated at the historic South Pier near the yacht harbour, this project will bring a modern touch to the city’s traditional maritime legacy.

The "Nova Marina Gdynia" will feature a five-storey facility spanning approximately 20,000 sqm. It will accommodate the headquarters of Gdynia’s sailing clubs and the Polish Yachting Association, along with essential infrastructure for sailors, including yacht storage hangars and an underground garage.

According to Jarosław Zagórski, Managing Director of Ghelamco Poland, the design of the building will harmonize with Gdynia's modernist architecture and is the result of extensive collaboration with city authorities. Tomasz Chamera, President of the Polish Yachting Association, highlights that the centre will serve as a prominent venue for both local and international sailing events.

Selected through a competitive architectural process, the winning design by PIG Architekci reflects the innovative spirit of the project. Construction is set to begin in late 2024, with the completion expected by 2027.
