We are proud to announce that Leen Vermeersch, President of the Board of the Belgian Business Chamber (BBC), has been elected to the Board of the Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce, following the General Assembly held in Brussels on 26 June 2026.
This appointment marks an important milestone for our Chamber and further strengthens the voice of the Belgian Business Chamber within the international network of Belgian Chambers of Commerce.
Since joining the BBC Board in 2024 and more recently, taking on the role of Vice-President, Leen has actively contributed to the Chamber's strategic development, strengthening Belgian-Polish business relations and supporting our growing international presence.
Her election is not only a recognition of her personal commitment and leadership, but also of the growing role the Belgian Business Chamber plays within the wider Belgian Chamber network.
This appointment also carries a special meaning for our community. Last year, our former President Ben Greeven was elected to the Belgian Chambers Board. Following his untimely passing, we are honoured to see the Belgian Business Chamber once again represented at this important level and to continue the significant journey he helped to begin.
We warmly congratulate Leen Vermeersch on this well-deserved appointment and wish her every success in this new role. We are confident that her experience, dedication and international outlook will make a valuable contribution to the future of the Belgian Chambers network.
