As of 1 February 2022, the so-called Anti-Inflation Shield 2.0 came into effect, as a further measure, following the so-called Anti-Inflation Shield 1.0, in force since 1 January 2022, taken to mitigate the effects associated with rising inflation. Both acts introduce a temporary reduction of VAT rates on certain goods. Temporary reduction of VAT rates under the Anti-Inflation Shield 2.0. is applicable for the period from 1 February 2022 to 31 July 2022.
