Dear BBC Members and Business Partners,

As we are all watching the horrific images of the floods that are affecting the southern regions of Poland, we regret to inform you that the following events taking place in the framework of the 'BBC On the Road to Wrocław' are cancelled:

• Materialise's Jubilee: Thursday, Sept. 19th 2024 (6:30 PM - 10:30 PM), Materialise Headquarters, Belgijska 1, 55-040 Bielany Wrocławskie
• Thursday with Beer: Thursday, Sept. 19th 2024 (6:30 PM - 10:30 PM), Academus Pub, Academus, Kiełbaśnicza 23, 50-110 Wrocław
• VIP Site Visit to Umicore: Friday, Sept. 20th 2024 (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM), Umicore Headquarters, Radzikowice 1C, 48-300 Nysa

The BBC has taken this difficult decision after thorough consultations with all its partners, with whom we have determined that proceeding with the events is not feasible nor desirable in the current situation. The safety of our community remains our foremost priority.
We want to express our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this decision may cause. We have no control over force majeure.

Knowing how important it is to support businesses locally, it is our hope that we can reschedule the events for a later date. We will keep you informed with updates as the situation develops.

Nonetheless, in the wake of this disaster, people and businesses are facing significant hardships. We believe that as a community, we should come together to support those in need. We are working to ensure that any financial assistance we plan to provide reaches those most in need. We will inform you in the near future about the steps we have taken, as well as the actions that can be supported.

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to prioritize their safety. Please stay informed through local news sources, heed the advice of emergency services, and take all necessary precautions.
